Bandolero

Bandolero is named for outlaws. Through the 18th and 19th centuries, the Spanish crown held a monopoly on cigar production, so smugglers known as bandoleros had cigars rolled in other countries and sold them for far less than the crown allowed. The brand leans all the way into that history, right down to line names like Clandestinos and Traficantes. It is the work of Nelson Alfonso, the Cuban designer behind the Cohiba Behike look, and the boldest of his three Selected Tobacco brands alongside Atabey and Byron. Like its siblings, Bandolero is made in Costa Rica from an undisclosed blend under an Ecuadorian wrapper, aged for years and rested in cedar-lined rooms. Fuller and more affordable than the other two, Bandolero cigars wear their secrecy well.
