Cigars have been part of our lives for over a decade. A cigar is more than its flavors and tasting notes: the occasion matters, and so do the people you share it with. Cigar Grail is us getting to share that.
Some of our best memories have a cigar in them.
Cigars run deep in our family. Some of our earliest and fondest memories are out on the balcony after a family dinner, sharing a cigar with our dad. That is the feeling we keep coming back to. A great cigar, and the right company to share it with.
Ten years in, we are still learning, still reading up on the history, still hunting for the next one worth trying. And we love walking a first-timer through their first real cigar just as much. Ask us anything. No dumb questions, no attitude.
The shop we always wanted to walk into.
We opened Cigar Grail in 2025 and built it as the kind of cigar shop we always wished existed. Carefully kept, genuinely personal, fairly priced, and run by people who actually love this. Not a warehouse floor, not a hard sell.
A humidor that is looked after, honest advice over upselling, and a real focus on getting the right cigar into your hands. If we would not smoke it ourselves, we do not put it on the shelf.
Why “Cigar Grail”
The name is about the hunt. We are always after that grail cigar: the rare ones, the ones worth chasing, trying new sticks until we find the ones that earn the name. It is a word people use for something top-tier, and that is the bar we are always reaching for.
Jay & Moe
Cigar Grail is family-run. Two brothers, and most of the time we are the ones you will talk to in the shop, on the phone, or behind your online order.
Jay
Full-bodied guy: Connecticut Broadleaf and Mexican San Andres, with Opus X as the cigar that sums up his taste. The technical side: specs, blends, wrappers, most of the hunting for rare stuff, and he built this site from the ground up. Hosts a smoke night most weeks.
Moe
Ecuadorian Habano more often than not. He handles the buying and runs our events, and he is the people side: makes you feel at home the minute you walk in, remembers what you smoke, turns a quick stop into a conversation. New to cigars? Talk to Moe.
