Room101
Room101 is the cigar brand of Matt Booth, a former Marine turned Los Angeles jewelry designer who carried his bold, Japanese-influenced design sensibility into tobacco. He started Room101 as a jewelry label, then entered cigars in 2009, originally through Camacho, and built a cult following on distinctive, street-savvy branding and unorthodox packaging.
After a break from the industry, Booth relaunched the brand with collaborations involving Robert Caldwell and AJ Fernandez, who makes most Room101 cigars at his factory in EstelÃ, Nicaragua. The brand is now owned by Scandinavian Tobacco Group, with Booth staying on as creative director. Lines like The Big Payback and Farce keep things flavorful and approachable at fair prices.
