Description

The Firecracker Connecticut is the Connecticut wrapped version of the Firecracker, the short cigar United Cigars launched in 2006 with a twisted fuse cap on the head. It is made at Tabacalera Magia Cubana in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and joined the line at the 2024 TPE show.

An Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper covers a Dominican Criollo binder and a filler of Dominican tobacco and Dominican ligero. United Cigars made it to show that a Connecticut can still pack a punch: black pepper, hickory wood, burnt white toast and orange rind, full of flavor yet smooth, at a medium strength.

Like the rest of the line it has a closed foot and comes in boxes of 25. The small red anchor on the band is a nod to Red Anchor, the Delft tobacco house founded in 1772.

Pairs well with coffee, cream ale, or amber ale.
