Description

The C-5 is Elie Bleu’s V-cutter, here in a silver finish made for Gold and Bullet, the Opus X Society release, with the Society logo on the body. Only 155 were made. Rëyns International, Elie Bleu’s US distributor, brought it in alongside a matching J-12 lighter.

A V-cut takes a wedge out of the cap instead of slicing the head off. The cap keeps its shape, so the wrapper has less chance to unravel, and the notch opens the draw without exposing the whole head.

The blades are surgical stainless steel set in a deep V, and an automatic opening system readies it for the next cut. It measures about 2.68 by 2.20 inches and 0.67 inches thick.

Like any V-cutter, it suits round heads best. Torpedoes and belicosos are better with a straight cut.
