Description

The Herrera Estelí Brazilian Maduro Lonsdale Deluxe is a 6 by 44 lonsdale from Willy Herrera’s Herrera Estelí line at Drew Estate, made at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua. It is the maduro counterpart to the Habano blend.

A Brazilian Mata Fina maduro wrapper covers a Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf binder and filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, medium to full in body. Drew Estate describes it as floral and smooth, with spice, pepper and dark chocolate. The slim ring keeps that dark wrapper front and center.

Mata Fina is grown in Bahia, Brazil, and it is known for a naturally sweet, smooth leaf. Taken to maduro, it adds depth without the bitterness a thick, dark wrapper can sometimes bring.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
