CLE is Christian Luis Eiroa’s signature, right down to the name, which is his initials. Eiroa grew up on his family’s tobacco farm in Honduras and made the Camacho brand famous in the 2000s on the strength of Honduran Corojo. After the family sold Camacho to Davidoff in 2008, he struck out on his own, founding CLE Cigar Company in 2012 with partner Tom Lazuka of Asylum.
Eiroa is devoted to Honduran tobacco, especially the bold Corojo grown on the family’s Jamastran farm, and most CLE cigars are puros built around it, rolled at his Aladino factory in DanlÃ. The line spans Corojo, Connecticut, and more across a range of strengths. Honduran through and through, CLE cigars are a Corojo lover’s brand.
