A rubber gasket does the sealing, so there is nothing to season and no week of preparation before it is usable. Air it out for a day, add a two way humidity pack, and it holds. A few Spanish cedar sheets in the bottom will give you the aroma and a little extra moisture buffering.

At this size it is the box for the cigars you are not smoking this month. A large sealed case that gets opened once a week holds humidity almost effortlessly, and stable and undisturbed is exactly what aging tobacco wants.
