Description

Handmade in Honduras, the Leaf by Oscar Corojo Sixty is a Corojo-wrapped gordo from Oscar Valladares’s Leaf by Oscar. Each cigar ships wrapped in a whole tobacco leaf instead of cellophane.

It blends a Honduran Corojo wrapper over a Honduran binder and filler at a medium to full body, leading with leather, red pepper, dry cedar, and a sweet, earthy core. At 6 by 60, there is far more filler than wrapper in a ring this size, so the core of the blend leads and the wrapper follows.

Corojo is Cuban seed leaf, originally bred in the Vuelta Abajo and now grown mostly in Honduras and Nicaragua. It is prized for spice, and it is the reason a cigar with Corojo on the label usually has a peppery edge.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
