Description

Handmade in Nicaragua, the Laranja Reserva Robusto Extra is a Brazilian-wrapped robusto from Laranja Reserva. Laranja, Portuguese for orange, is a Nicaraguan line from Espinosa.

It blends a Brazilian wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium to full body, leading with cedar, sweet red pepper, dried fruit, and a touch of leather. At 5 1/2 by 54, it burns cool and even.

Volcanic ground is what gives Nicaraguan tobacco its weight. It is the reason a country that only started making premium cigars in earnest in the 1960s now sets the pace.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
