Herrera Esteli Habano Robusto Grande 5 1/4″ x 52

The Herrera Estelí Habano Robusto Grande is a 5 1/4 by 52 robusto from Herrera Estelí, the line Willy Herrera built at Drew Estate after making his name as a blender at El Titan de Bronze in Miami’s Little Havana. It is made at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua.

An Ecuador Habano wrapper covers a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan filler at a medium body. Drew Estate describes it as smooth and flavorful, with baking spices, a woodsy core and buttery nutmeg. At 5 1/4 by 52 it is the quickest smoke in the line, with the full ring giving the blend a rounder, creamier middle.

Herrera bunches this blend entubado, the old Cuban method of rolling each filler leaf into a tube before it goes into the bunch. It is slower to roll, but it opens the draw and helps the cigar burn evenly, and each one is finished with a triple cap.

Pairs well with coffee, añejo rum, or amber ale.
