Description

La Flor Dominicana released El Carajon in December 2014, timed for winter, when a short smoke makes the most sense outdoors. It measures 4 by 34 and uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Dominican binder and filler, made at Tabacalera La Flor in the Dominican Republic.

Expect roasted wood, nuts and black pepper early, then toast and cedar as the nuttiness turns sweeter, close to walnut. It is medium in strength with a bit more body, and it runs about 40 minutes. Smoke it slowly: a ring this thin burns hot if you push it.

It comes 100 to a box, a cube with two sliding lids. Pairs well with coffee, aged rum or a lager.
