Description

The Asylum 13 Medulla Maduro 770 is the 7 by 70 size of the Medulla Oblongata Maduro, the darker follow-up to Asylum’s Medulla Oblongata. CLE began shipping it in 2018, a year after the original.

The original Medulla is a Honduran Corojo puro. The maduro keeps the authentic Corojo binder and filler and wraps them in a Mexican San Andrés leaf. CLE calls it a step up in body and flavor, with thick notes of black pepper, leather, espresso and earth.

Medulla is the round version of the blend, sold in boxes of 20. Its box-pressed twin goes by Oblongata. Both are rolled in Honduras.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
