Capped with a pigtail and tapered at the foot, the Flying Pig brings the Liga Undercrown Maduro blend into a short, fat perfecto format.

The Undercrown line was developed in 2011 by the torcedores at Drew Estate, who built the recipe around tobaccos related to Liga Privada drawn from different primings and vintages. The Maduro version pairs a Mexican San Andrés Otapan Negro Último Corte wrapper with a Connecticut River Valley stalk-cut and cured T52 Habano binder over a long-filler of Brazilian Mata Fina and Cuban-seed Nicaraguan tobacco, hand-rolled at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Flying Pig measures 4 by 60, ships in 12-count boxes, and sits at medium-to-full body.

The closed foot concentrates the smoke at lighting, opening with dark chocolate, earth, and black pepper before settling into espresso, leather, and a soft natural sweetness across the bulge of the perfecto. The pigtail cap doubles as a built-in punch, and the format runs a slower burn than the four-inch length suggests, often pushing past an hour.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
