Davidoff Nicaragua Box Pressed Toro 6″ x 52

Davidoff Nicaragua was the house taking on the heat of Nicaraguan tobacco and softening it into something bittersweet. Wrapper, binder and filler are all Nicaraguan, so the Box Pressed Toro is a true Nicaraguan puro, rolled by hand.

Davidoff says the pressed format gives it extra intensity and flavour while keeping the draw smooth, and the extra airflow makes it draw easier than the other sizes in the line. Expect a perfumy aroma before you light it, plenty of dense white smoke and a silky brown red wrapper. Davidoff rates it 4.5 out of 5 for intensity.

Davidoff’s notes follow the cigar in thirds: fresh spice over oak and leather at the start, cream with hazelnut and sweet spice through the middle, and leather with stronger spice and white pepper at the end. The finish is long, with dark chocolate and spice. Plan on 55 to 75 minutes.

Davidoff pairs it with a creamy, well matured rum. It also stands up to bourbon or an espresso.
