Espada means sword, and Montecristo names the sizes after its parts: the guard that protects the hand, the ricasso that sits just above it. The line is rolled at Plasencia in Esteli.

A Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper covers a Nicaraguan puro, medium to full in body. Expect cedar, coffee, sweet spice and a peppery finish. At 5 by 54 the robusto holds one character from light to finish.

Plasencia grows most of its own tobacco across Nicaragua and Honduras and supplies leaf to many brands that never mention it, so a line rolled in its own factory gets first pick of the crop.
