Oliva Serie V Melanio Torpedo 6 1/2″ x 52

A tapered head sets the Serie V Melanio Torpedo apart from the line’s straight-sided sizes. Part of Oliva’s top Nicaraguan line, the Oliva Serie V Melanio Torpedo wears a sun-grown Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and Jalapa filler, box-pressed at a medium to full body.

The flavor usually moves toward cedar, espresso, and baking spice, with a creamy sweetness underneath. The 6 1/2 by 52 torpedo narrows to a point, which tightens the draw through the first third.

The pointed cap takes a straight or V cut, and the size suits a relaxed, longer sit. It comes as singles or boxes of 10, so trying one before a box is easy. A shapely option within the Melanio lineup.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or cognac.
