A tapered head sets the Serie V Melanio Torpedo apart from the line’s straight-sided sizes. Part of Oliva’s top Nicaraguan line, the Oliva Serie V Melanio Torpedo wears a sun-grown Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and Jalapa filler, box-pressed at a medium to full body.

The flavor usually moves toward cedar, espresso, and baking spice, with a creamy sweetness underneath. The 6 1/2 by 52 torpedo narrows to a point, which tightens the draw through the first third.
