Description

The Churchill is the long end of Nat Cicco’s Aniversario 1965, the line named for the year the company started. Liga No. 4 is its fuller blend.

An oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper covers aged Nicaraguan binder and filler, medium to full. Expect cedar, black pepper, espresso and a sweet, leathery spice. At 7 by 52, this runs well past an hour, and the length gives the blend room to shift rather than repeat itself.

The size is named for Winston Churchill, who smoked them by the crate and had a Cuban brand name a vitola after him. The classic measurement was 7 by 47, so a modern churchill like this one is a thicker animal than the original.
