Palio Veneto Quad Torch Lighter

The Veneto is Palio’s big table torch. At about 5 1/2 inches tall it is made for the lounge, the patio or the golf bag rather than a shirt pocket, and it sits comfortably in the hand.

Four jets are set in a diamond, so the flame lays a wide ring of heat across the whole foot at once. That is where a quad earns its keep, on the big ring gauges that take forever with a single jet.

The extra large see-through tank shows your butane level and holds enough for up to 150 cigars. A wheel sets the flame height without any tools, textured sides give you a sure grip, and the protective cap doubles as a cigar rest. It is tested to work up to 14,000 feet and refills with standard butane.

Bigger flame is not better. Cranked all the way up, a jet wastes fuel and scorches the wrapper edge. Keep it short and blue and let the heat do the work.
