It belongs to the Alma Fuerte line, a Nicaraguan puro made with a Jalapa wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Condega, Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe, all grown on Plasencia farms. The line debuted in 2016 and was built around aged Nicaraguan tobaccos with a fuller profile than the company’s milder offerings.

At 5 1/4 x 52, the Robustus I shows the blend in a more direct format. The profile often opens with earth, wood, and dark sweetness, then leans toward coffee, cocoa, oak, and measured spice through the middle. This size puts more emphasis on concentration and density rather than a long progression, while still keeping the Alma Fuerte line’s heavier structure intact.
