Description

Rocky Patel was a lawyer in Los Angeles before he was a cigar maker, which is either an odd career turn or a very good one depending on how you feel about the cigars. The Disciple is rolled at his own factory in Estelí, TAVICUSA.

A Mexican San Andrés wrapper covers Nicaraguan binder and filler grown on Rocky Patel’s own land in Condega and Estelí. Medium to full: leather at the light, then espresso and earth, with black pepper and a dried-fruit sweetness underneath. The toro gives the blend room to build, and it does, strongest in the last third.

Mexican San Andrés has become the default maduro wrapper across the industry, to the point that a cocoa note on a dark cigar is usually this leaf doing the talking.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
