The Ashton Classic is the brand’s original Connecticut-shade line, and the Magnum is its robusto. The Ashton Classic Magnum is made by the Fuente family in the Dominican Republic, with a Connecticut shade wrapper over Dominican binder and filler, at a mild body.

The flavor usually stays gentle, with cream, cedar, almond, and a light sweetness. At 5 by 50, the robusto is a smooth, even smoke.

The mild body makes it an easy morning or daytime cigar. It is sold as singles or boxes of 25, so one is a simple start. A classic, mellow Connecticut-shade Ashton.
