J.C. Newman named the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser line for its founder, Julius Caeser Newman, and had Carlito Fuente create the blend. The Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Toro is made by the Fuente family in the Dominican Republic, with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Dominican and Caribbean tobaccos aged about five years, at a medium body.

The flavor usually leans toward cedar, cream, light coffee, and a gentle nutty sweetness, kept smooth by the five years of age. At 6 by 52, the round toro is an even, medium-strength smoke.

The moderate body makes it an any-time-of-day size rather than an evening-only cigar. It comes as singles or boxes of 20, so one is an easy first taste. A medium Dominican toro.

Pairs well with coffee, bourbon, or cognac.
