Reblended from the ground up in 2015 as part of the Davidoff White Label family, the Winston Churchill line pays tribute to the British statesman who gave the largest classical vitola its name.

The Toro carries an Ecuadorian Rojiza Habano wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder, with a five-leaf long-filler combining piloto mejorado seco, piloto seco, and a hybrid olor/piloto seco from the Dominican Republic alongside seco from Condega and Estelí in Nicaragua. All tobacco in the blend is aged a minimum of four years before rolling, with production handled at Davidoff’s Cigars Davidoff factory in the Dominican Republic. The Toro measures 6 by 54 and ships in boxes of 20 at medium body.

The flavor tends to lean toward toasted almond, cocoa, and oak at the start, with creamy coffee, leather, and a touch of pepper through the middle before a finish carrying cedar and a soft floral character from the Rojiza wrapper. The 54 ring gauge brings the Mexican binder and Nicaraguan filler into close balance with the wrapper, keeping the profile aromatic rather than heavy. The format fits a relaxed hour-and-a-half session.
