Description

From Nub by Oliva, the Nub Cameroon 358 is a Cameroon-wrapped gordo, handmade in Nicaragua.

It blends an African Cameroon wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium body, leading with cedar, roasted nuts, sweet baking spice, and a touch of black pepper. At 3 3/4 by 58, there is far more filler than wrapper in a ring this size, so the core of the blend leads and the wrapper follows.

Cameroon wrapper is grown in the highlands of Cameroon and the Central African Republic from Sumatran seed, and it is one of the few wrapper crops still raised mostly by small farmers rather than plantations.

Pairs well with coffee, bourbon, or amber ale.

    As a fan of bigger ring gauge cigars, I was recommended to try Nub by the guys at CigarGrail and I’m glad I listened to them! Lasted longer than I expected and happily, the notes came in parts and helped excel the experience of the cigar by keeping it interesting from beginning to end. I got cedar notes paired with sweet coffee and baking spices at the start. Found the baking spices take a back seat in the 2nd third and final third letting those roasted nuts and coffee notes take center with a strong finish. The retrohale was smoother than I anticipated and found the cigar to keep my interest till the very last puff. Recommend this for any light to medium cigar enthusiast who wants to branch into larger ring gauges without sacrificing flavor or construction.
