Description

Altadis U.S.A. created the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua to mark the brand’s 85th anniversary, a reimagined take on the original 1935 blend. Rafael Nodal, AJ Fernandez and Altadis’s Grupo de Maestros built it as a Nicaraguan puro, and it is rolled at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Ocotal.

Wrapper, binder and filler are all Nicaraguan, grown on AJ Fernandez farms across the country, and the cigars rest an extra two years after rolling. Expect wood, dark roast coffee, cinnamon, earth and spice over a long, sweet tobacco finish, at a medium to full body.

At 7 by 52, the box press gives it crisp edges and a slow, even burn.

Sold as singles or in boxes of 10. Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
