El Pulpo by Artesano del Tobacco is a Nicaraguan cigar made by AJ Fernandez, and The Squid is its big, box-pressed 6 1/2 by 60 perfecto.

It sets a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, at a medium to full body. Expect cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, earthy depth. The perfecto shape, tapered toward the ends, focuses the draw and lets the flavors build as it opens up.
