Ashton VSG Wizard 6″ x 56

Dark, wrapper-forward richness is the calling card here, with enough spice to keep things lively. Ashton Virgin Sun Grown (VSG) Wizard is a 6 x 56 toro made in the Dominican Republic, and it is commonly stocked as singles or in a box of 37. An Ecuador-grown sun grown wrapper covers Dominican binder and filler tobaccos, and Ashton rates the line full in strength.

VSG is blended for Ashton in collaboration with Carlos Fuente Jr., built around Dominican tobaccos aged about four to five years and an Ecuador-grown wrapper tied to a dedicated growing program. The profile tends to lean into sweet cedar, darker earth, coffee-bean depth, and black pepper, with the middle picking up weight before a spicier, lingering finish.

Wizard suits smokers who want a fuller Ashton without stepping into ultra-heavy territory, and it reads best when there is time to slow the pace. It fits after a meal and also works as a weekend, late-day cigar when a shorter smoke feels too brief. A straight cut is the typical option for this round format, and a short rest after shipping can help the tobaccos settle. Keep a few singles for spot checks or move to a box when the profile clicks.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or tawny port.
