Description

Primeros are Davidoff’s small cigars, handmade from 100% tobacco with the same long list of checks as the full size line. The Dominican Primeros is the mildest of the set, a 4 1/8 by 34 petit panetela that comes six to a slim tin.

It uses a Connecticut wrapper grown in Ecuador over a Mexican binder, with a filler of Dominican tobaccos. Davidoff rates it 2 out of 5 for intensity and describes a combination of sweet, mild wooden notes, with oak, a little liquorice and fresh spice.

At 34 ring it is quick, about 15 to 25 minutes, which is the point: something real to smoke when there is no time for a robusto, and a good first step into Davidoff.

Pairs well with coffee or espresso.
