The Opus X Society is Fuente’s limited series for collectors, designed by Manny Iriarte and released in numbered runs that tend to be spoken for before they reach a shelf.

A Dominican Sun Grown wrapper covers a Dominican puro, medium to full in body. Expect cedar, sweet spice, coffee and dark fruit. At 6 1/4 by 49, it burns cool and even.

Dominican tobacco has a name for being mild, which is only half true. The country grows plenty of strong leaf, it just tends to be blended with a lighter hand.

Pairs well with cognac, bourbon, or espresso.
