Description

Don Carlos is Carlos Fuente Sr.’s own blend, the one he actually smoked, and the Edicion de Aniversario rebuilt it under a Dominican grown wrapper off the Opus X farm.

A Dominican wrapper covers a Dominican puro, full in body. Expect cedar, cocoa, coffee and a soft sweetness. At 6 1/4 by 48, it burns cool and even.

Dominican tobacco has a name for being mild, which is only half true. The country grows plenty of strong leaf, it just tends to be blended with a lighter hand.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or cognac.
