Description

Zino Davidoff ran a tobacconist in Geneva before he ran a cigar brand. Davidoff left Cuba at the end of the 1980s and rebuilt in the Dominican Republic, and the house has traded on restraint ever since.

An Ecuador wrapper covers Dominican binder and filler, with tobaccos drawn from three levels of the plant and a medium body. Expect cream, cedar, almond and light coffee. At 6 by 52, the tapered head narrows the smoke and sharpens the blend.

The torpedo head is a Davidoff patented shape, and it lets you choose how wide to cut: a shallow clip keeps the draw tight, a deeper one opens it up.

Pairs well with coffee, cream ale, or champagne.
