Description

Don Carlos is Carlos Fuente Sr.’s own blend, the one he actually smoked. The Edicion de Aniversario was built for his eightieth birthday and rebuilt that blend under a Dominican grown wrapper off the Opus X farm.

That Dominican rosado wrapper covers aged Dominican binder and filler, full in body. Expect cedar, espresso, dark chocolate and leather, with dried fruit lingering late. At 5 3/4 by 52, the double robusto gives the blend room to settle in.

The tube is the practical version of the same cigar. It travels without the wrapper picking up dings, and it holds humidity long enough to get through a day out.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or cognac.
