Herrera Esteli Habano Lonsdale Deluxe 6″ x 44

The Herrera Estelí Habano Lonsdale Deluxe is a 6 by 44 lonsdale from Herrera Estelí, the line Willy Herrera built at Drew Estate after making his name as a blender at El Titan de Bronze in Miami’s Little Havana. It is made at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua.

An Ecuador Habano wrapper covers a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan filler at a medium body. Drew Estate describes it as smooth and flavorful, with baking spices, a woodsy core and buttery nutmeg. The slim 44 ring keeps the wrapper doing more of the work, so the spice reads brighter here than in the thicker sizes.

Herrera bunches this blend entubado, the old Cuban method of rolling each filler leaf into a tube before it goes into the bunch. It is slower to roll, but it opens the draw and helps the cigar burn evenly, and each one is finished with a triple cap.

Pairs well with coffee, añejo rum, or amber ale.
