Description

Handmade in Nicaragua, the San Cristobal Quintessence Corona Gorda is a Habano-wrapped corona gorda from San Cristobal, made by My Father for Ashton. San Cristobal is made for Ashton by the García family of My Father.

It blends an Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium to full body, leading with cedar, sweet red pepper, dried fruit, and a touch of leather. At 5 5/8 by 46, it burns cool and even.

Nicaragua’s growing valleys each push Habano a different way: Esteli grows it strong, Jalapa sweet, Condega somewhere between. Most Habano-wrapped Nicaraguans blend all three underneath.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
