Description

The Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Vibrato is a box-pressed toro from Rafael Nodal’s Aging Room, made by AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua. It belongs to the original Quattro Nicaragua line, whose Maestro was named Cigar Aficionado’s No. 1 cigar of 2019, and like the rest of the brand its sizes carry musical names.

A Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and filler, medium to full in body. Expect dark cocoa, coffee and black pepper over a sweet, earthy core. At 6 by 54, the toro is long enough to develop without turning heavy.

Box pressing squares the cigar under weight after rolling. It tightens the draw slightly and slows the burn, and a flat sided cigar stays put on the edge of an ashtray.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
