Joya De Nicaragua
Joya de Nicaragua is the oldest cigar maker in Nicaragua, and for a time it was the most famous in the world. Founded in 1968 in Estelí, the company made the cigar that sat on Cold War-era American desks, and its Antaño line revived the bold, pre-revolution Nicaraguan style that put the country back on the map.
The brand survived a revolution, a U.S. embargo, and a fire that nearly ended it, and today it is led by Juan Martínez. The full-bodied Antaño 1970 is its signature, while the smoother CyB and the refined Cinco Décadas show its range. Distributed in the United States by Drew Estate, Joya de Nicaragua cigars carry more national history than almost any name in the business.
