Joya De Nicaragua
Joya de Nicaragua is the oldest cigar maker in Nicaragua, and for a time it was the most famous in the world. Founded in 1968 in EstelĂ, the company made the cigar that sat on Cold War-era American desks, and its Antaño line revived the bold, pre-revolution Nicaraguan style that put the country back on the map.
The brand survived a revolution, a U.S. embargo, and a fire that nearly ended it, and today it is led by Juan MartĂnez. The full-bodied Antaño 1970 is its signature, while the smoother CyB and the refined Cinco DĂ©cadas show its range. Distributed in the United States by Drew Estate, Joya de Nicaragua cigars carry more national history than almost any name in the business.
