Handmade in Nicaragua, the Joya de Nicaragua Cuatro Cinco Doble Robusto is a Nicaraguan Jalapa-wrapped robusto from Joya de Nicaragua, the country’s oldest cigar maker. Joya de Nicaragua has rolled cigars in Estelí since 1968.

It blends a Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper over a Nicaraguan and Dominican binder and Nicaraguan filler at a full body, leading with cocoa, cedar, roasted coffee, and black pepper over a sweet, earthy base. At 5 by 56, it burns cool and even.

Nicaragua’s cigar industry was built largely by Cuban families who left after 1959, which is why the country’s tobacco tastes closer to Cuba’s than anywhere else outside the island.
