Connecticut wrappers provide a useful starting point for comparing cigar blends. Connecticut-style wrapper leaf is generally selected for a lighter appearance and a smoother, creamier contribution to the blend. The outer leaf contributes aroma, texture, and part of the flavor profile, while the binder and filler determine much of the cigar’s underlying structure and character.
