Arturo Fuente reintroduced the Don Carlos line in 1986 as a tribute to patriarch Carlos Fuente Sr., and the Belicoso is its tapered figurado. The Arturo Fuente Don Carlos Belicoso wraps Dominican binder and filler in an African Cameroon leaf, a medium to full blend built around that distinctive wrapper.

The flavor usually moves through cedar, toasted nuts, black pepper, and a light cocoa sweetness as it burns. It ranked No. 4 in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2015. The 5 3/8 by 52 belicoso tapers to a point, which focuses the draw early on.
