Don Carlos Belicoso puts the line’s Cameroon-forward blend into a compact torpedo shape with a slower, measured build. 

Arturo Fuente Don Carlos Belicoso is a Dominican-made belicoso from the Don Carlos line, which Carlos Fuente Jr. created in honor of Carlos Fuente Sr. It uses a Cameroon wrapper over Dominican binder and filler, and the line is known for using some of Fuente’s older tobaccos. 

The flavor usually starts a little restrained, then moves toward cedar, coffee, nuts, and a measured spice with a touch of natural sweetness from the wrapper. At 5 3/8 x 52, the tapered head keeps the opening focused before the broader middle settles into a more deliberate pace. Ranked No. 4 in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2015. 

Pair with black coffee, aged rum, or sparkling water.
