Description

La Galera comes from Jochy Blanco’s Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic, and the Imperial Jade is its Cameroon-wrapped line. The La Galera Imperial Jade Toro sets an African Cameroon wrapper over Dominican binder and filler grown on the family’s farms, at a medium body.

The flavor usually leans toward cedar, nuts, coffee, and a light sweet spice from the Cameroon leaf. At 6 by 52, the toro gives an even, steady burn.

The medium body works across the day rather than only the evening. It is sold as singles or boxes of 20, so one is an easy first taste. A smooth, Cameroon-wrapped Dominican toro.

Pairs well with coffee, bourbon, or amber ale.
