Description

Steel Horse is CAO’s spin-off of Flathead, made for bikers and life on the open road. It uses a different blend from Flathead but keeps the signature flat top, and the Roadkill is its 6 by 60 size.

A proprietary Connecticut Habano Grueso wrapper covers a Brazilian Arapiraca binder and a filler of Dominican, Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco. CAO calls it medium to full bodied, with easy smoking flavors of leather and spice, and lists oak, coffee, spice, pepper and chocolate among its notes.

It’s made at STG Esteli in Nicaragua. Steel Horse comes in four sizes, the Handbrake 4 1/2 by 50, Apehanger 5 3/4 by 54, Bullneck 6 1/2 by 52 and this Roadkill, in boxes of 20.

Pairs well with aged rum or rye.
