San Cristobal Revelation is the darker, Sumatra-wrapped branch of Ashton’s San Cristobal, made by the García family at My Father, and the Legend is one of its box-pressed sizes. The San Cristobal Revelation Legend sets an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, box-pressed at a medium body.

The flavor usually leans toward cedar, coffee, cocoa, and a light pepper. At 6 1/4 by 52, the box-pressed toro gives a long, even burn.

The medium body works across the day rather than only the evening. It is sold as singles or boxes of 24, so one is an easy first taste. A darker, box-pressed San Cristobal.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
