Description

From Ozgener Karatoba, the Ozgener Karatoba Toro is a Sumatra-wrapped toro, handmade in Nicaragua. Ozgener Family Cigars was founded by Tim Ozgener, whose father Cano founded CAO Cigars.

It blends an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican filler at a medium to full body, leading with earth, cedar, coffee, and a peppery, faintly sweet finish. At 6 1/2 by 50, it burns cool and even.

Ecuadorian Sumatra is one of the more forgiving wrappers to smoke. It rarely dominates a blend, it burns evenly, and it lets the filler do the talking, which is why so many mid-priced cigars lean on it.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
