The Late Hour line debuted in 2017 as the fuller-bodied counterpart to the original Winston Churchill release, built around the idea of Churchill’s late-night work hours. The blend pairs an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with dual binders from Ecuador and Mexico over a long-filler of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos, with select leaves finished in single malt Scotch whisky casks before rolling. Production runs at Cigars Davidoff in the Dominican Republic. The Petit Panetela measures 4 by 38 at medium-to-full body, packaged in tins of 5.

Expect cedar, roasted coffee, and dark chocolate at the start, with leather and a subtle peat-influenced sweetness from the cask-aged filler running through the middle before a finish carrying dried fruit and a touch of spice. The narrow 38 ring gauge keeps the wrapper character forward and concentrates the smoke, giving the cask-aged notes more weight than the format size might suggest. The burn time runs around 30 to 40 minutes, fitting a shorter break rather than a longer session.
