Description

God of Fire is the cigar Prometheus commissioned from the Fuente family, introduced in 2022 for the company’s 30th anniversary. The name fits the maker: Prometheus is the Titan who stole fire from the gods, and the company built its name on lighters and humidors first.

The wrapper is the lower priming of the Very Special Wrapper, the rosado leaf grown under shade at Chateau de la Fuente that also goes on Opus X. Under it sits a Dominican puro, medium to full in body, with cedar, cocoa, espresso and sweet spice. At 5 1/4 by 58, the tapered head concentrates all of it.

The ten count is not a box. Prometheus ships it in a cedar lined Macassar ebony travel humidor of their own making, so the packaging outlasts the cigars by a long way.
