Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the Gurkha Cellar Reserve 21 Year Hedonism is a 6 by 58 perfecto built on tobacco aged twenty-one years.

A silky USA Connecticut Shade wrapper sits over Dominican and Nicaraguan binder and filler, medium in body, leading with cedar, cream, coffee and a light sweet spice. Twenty-one years in the bale is a long time for leaf to sit, and what it buys is not strength but smoothness: the harshness is gone before the cigar is ever rolled.

Hedonism is Gurkha’s name for the 6 by 58 in this line, a fat perfecto tapered at both ends. The shape concentrates the smoke early and opens out as the burn widens, so the middle third is where the cream and coffee sit.

This is the oldest tobacco in the Cellar Reserve line. Pairs well with coffee, cognac, or an aged rum.
