My Father Fresh Pack No. 1, 5-Cigar Sampler

The My Father Fresh Pack No. 1 is a sealed five cigar assortment from the Garcia family, hand rolled at My Father Cigars S.A. in Esteli, Nicaragua. Every cigar in it comes from a different line, from a Corojo Rosado to a Connecticut Broadleaf, so one pack shows how wide the factory’s range really is. Contents may vary.

Inside the Fresh Pack:

• Don Pepin Vegas Cubanas, a Corojo Rosado wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler.
• Flor de las Antillas Maduro, a sun grown Habano Oscuro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder, with Habano Criollo filler from the family’s La Estrella, La Bonita and Las Marias farms. Three quarters to full body, creamy leather and a sweet, salty finish. The name and the early 1900s style art are a nod to Cuba.
• La Dueña, a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Connecticut Broadleaf and Nicaraguan tobacco from the Garcia farm in Esteli, medium to full. Jaime Garcia and Pete Johnson of Tatuaje blended it for Janny Garcia. The name means the lady owner.
• My Father, the line that shares its name with the company: a Habano Rosado wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, full bodied.
• My Father El Centurion H-2K-CT, a hybrid H-2K-CT wrapper grown in the USA over Nicaraguan binder and filler that the Garcias grow, cure and ferment themselves. Rich yet refined, medium to full.

The Fresh Pack is sealed at the factory to hold moisture and oils in. Unopened it keeps at peak for about a year. Once you break the seal, plan on roughly 90 days of good smoking before the cigars move into a proper humidor.
