Description

Nica Rustica is Drew Estate’s rustic line, with packaging built around the El Brujito folk figure, and the Connecticut Shade version is the gentle end of it.

An Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper covers a Mexican binder, mild to medium in body. Expect cream, cedar, almond and a light, bready sweetness. At 5 by 66, the wide ring keeps the smoke cool and lets the filler lead.

A 66 ring is mostly filler, so the pale wrapper is a small share of what you taste. Shade leaf is mild on its own; what sits underneath decides how much strength comes through.

Pairs well with coffee, champagne, or cream ale.
