Foundation Charter Oak Maduro Toro 6″ x 52

Foundation Charter Oak is Nicholas Melillo’s affordable, everyday line, named after the Charter Oak, the legendary white oak in Hartford, Connecticut, where colonists are said to have hidden the colony’s royal charter from the English crown in 1687.

The Maduro Toro sets a dark Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan Habano binder and Nicaraguan filler, at a medium to full body. Expect cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, earthy depth. At 6 by 52, the toro burns cool and even.

A flavorful, well-made maduro at a friendly price from a respected Nicaraguan house. Everyday value with real character.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
